UNITY BUILDS HEALTH AND EDUCATION FACILITIES Buenavista, Marinduque- “In the midst of the continuing development in what was dubbed the depressed Barangay of Yook is the overwhelming unity of its people…We once envisioned a Barangay Health Center that will look like the Barangay Hall itself, but what we were able to build was even bigger than what we dreamed of…There is nothing wrong in dreaming for a better future, as long as it is paired with persistence.” A DREAM COME TRUE I am Kristina Grace A. Fernandico, sponsor child of Norwegian Mission Alliance Philippines from Navotas area. I’ve been a sponsor child since I was in my kindergarten days, 1994. My father is working as a Security Guard in a company, while my Mother is a vendor of variety of food spices and selling it house-to-house. I am the eldest child among the 4 siblings. My parents has always helped each other to give us a better future, and I was so blessed that Norwegian Mission Alliance Philippines have supported me to reach my dream. AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER! Thank God it’s Friday! As we welcome our new Consultant Mr. Ole Martin Uglem and his wife Mrs. Hilde Bringedal Uglem into the NMAP FAMILY last January 22.What an affair to remember! |

CHRISTMAS PARTIES FOR STUDENTS IN MARINDUQUE Every year sponsors from Norway give Christmas donations for our sponsor children and project. This year NMAP and partner schools in Buenavista arranged Christmas parties for approximately 1600 students and out-of-school children. Thank you for making our Christmas party to a big celebration this year, principal Adelaida Saguid at Bagacay Elementary School proclaims to NMA’s consultant, Anders Myrene. The students were happy and well fed after the party, which also included games and dance show by the teachers and students.
Everybody ate a lot and for dessert they had apples, which some of the students never eat. This year all the children received gifts; blankets, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and not only those who brought gifts from home for the gift exchange. The children loved the games that the teachers facilitated, like Trip to Jerusalem, quiz and sack race. And of course a dance show. Anders Myrene introduced the toothbrushes by singing his own Toothbrushing song, reminding the children about good oral hygiene. The Christmas parties were arranged by NMAP and all our partner schools in Buenavista; Bagtingon, Bicas-Bicas, Bagacay, Binunga and Yook Elementary Schools.

The food was great this year, a higher quality than normal, Saguid continues.
